At the end of 2024, amid the intense pace of year-end projects and the approaching Lunar New Year holiday, Pivie received a collaboration proposal from CarbGeM, a Japan-based biotechnology company. This project went beyond a standard market survey and became a real-world test of Pivie’s organizational capacity, responsiveness, and domain expertise.
The project aimed to evaluate the application potential of two medical technologies in Vietnam:
This collaboration is expected to deliver tangible clinical value by enabling faster identification of bacterial pathogens, supporting appropriate antibiotic selection, improving treatment outcomes, and reducing antibiotic misuse—thereby demonstrating the potential for expanding AI-supported microbiology solutions in the Vietnamese market.
Large-Scale Survey Deployment Across the Lunar New Year Period
From the preparation phase, the project faced notable challenges. To evaluate the AI application, participants were required to register for a trial using an international payment card—an uncommon and demanding requirement in Vietnam.
Leveraging its network of over 70,000 healthcare professionals, Pivie successfully delivered the project within less than two months, including the Lunar New Year holiday:
-
Designed a 40-question online survey
-
Reached and engaged over 1,000 healthcare professionals
-
Supported participants throughout the survey process and collected 400 qualified responses, fully meeting CarbGeM’s target criteria
-
Cleaned the data and delivered two rounds of analytical reports, with the final report consisting of 50 bilingual pages, complete with detailed visualizations
-
Received highly positive feedback from the Japanese government
Flexible, Nationwide Coordination of Expert Interviews
In parallel with the quantitative survey, Pivie was tasked with organizing qualitative interviews with leading experts to ensure depth and objectivity from a professional standpoint.
While the online survey was underway, Pivie simultaneously conducted the following activities:
-
Developed interview guides and expert selection criteria
-
Identified and prepared detailed profiles of leading physicians, senior experts, and representatives from the Ministry of Health for CarbGeM’s approval
-
Secured venues, recruited and trained medical interpreters and interview moderators
-
Conducted in-person interviews in Ho Chi Minh City and Hue, while coordinating online interviews connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with the Japanese team
All activities were managed by Pivie’s experienced project and event coordination team, with the support of carefully selected and well-trained medical interpreters. This ensured smooth, accurate, and content-rich communication throughout all interview sessions.

Translation and Interpretation as a Critical Success Factor
Pivie would like to emphasize that translation and interpretation services—both written and oral—played a pivotal role in the success of this project:
-
Translation of the entire survey and participant responses between English and Vietnamese, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and suitability for the target audience
-
Translation of instructional videos, technical documentation, and operational procedures to ensure correct understanding of the product’s objectives and application context
-
Translation of legal documents, contracts, and cooperation agreements to ensure regulatory and legal compliance in both countries
-
Provision of on-site and online medical interpreters for meetings, interviews, and working sessions, serving as a continuous communication bridge between the Japanese and Vietnamese teams
These synchronized, bilingual efforts ensured the highest level of accuracy, reliability, and quality throughout the entire project lifecycle—from data collection to final reporting.
Project Completion – Opening the Door to Deeper Collaboration
After exactly two months, the project was completed in full, on time, and in accordance with all requirements. Pivie was not only recognized by CarbGeM but also received positive feedback from representatives of the Japanese government—a rare and highly valued acknowledgment in international collaborations.
While the project has concluded, it has also opened a new chapter: CarbGeM expressed its intention to continue working with Pivie during the product deployment phase in the Vietnamese market.
